The Neptune range has been developed in association with Fileder.

1/ RO Systems and Components:

Design Application:  Industrial and commercial industries.

  • Neptune/Spectrum RO systems have been designed to meet the requirements of commercial and industrial operators.
  • 5 systems are included in the range to meet RO water production levels of 150 to 1250 litres per hour.

Typically used in factories and large sites for boiler feed, pure water production for process e.g. food and beverage customers or cosmetics manufacturers, final rinse water for cleaning components, glass washing, circuit board rinse.

2/ High Flow Cartridge Filters:

Design Application: Industrial and commercial water treatment and chemical applications.

From chloramine reduction for increased EPO efficacy in renal dialysis, to toxic heavy metal removal, such as lead in drinking water; carbon and water treatment cartridges are a reliable solution to significant water quality challenges across hundreds of applications.

Removing chlorine, chloramines and organics; alongside targeting specific ions such as calcium, magnesium and iron, are but a few reasons to use water treatment technologies. The filtration system removes common contaminates but also a range of lesser known contaminants and provide an efficient, cost effective solutions for equipment protection; healthier, better tasting water and specialist water quality requirements.

3/ Pleated Filters:

Design Application: Industrial and commercial water treatment and chemical applications.

For accurate, high efficiency, high flow rate, low pressure drop applications.

Specially designed for hospitals, food and beverage processes and pharmaceutical sites, pleated filtration is the ideal choice. The Neptune / Spectrum range of cartridges offers a solution for visible contaminant reduction through to critical bacterial protection. Consistent classification with exact micron sizes ensure effective targeting of specific contaminants and optimised cartridge service life.

Typically used for refined filtration in a range of applications where the particulate range in the incoming water is known e.g. borehole water, bacteria grade filtration in hospitals or food & beverage and cosmetics manufacturers where water quality is paramount.

4/ Depth Filters:

Design Application: Industrial and commercial water treatment and chemical applications.

The most popular choice for general incoming water, depth cartridges provide excellent dirt-holding capacity and a greater level of filtration accuracy over alternative technologies, such as bag filters. Depth has traditionally been a simple, low cost solution for wide range particle reduction, more recently complex technologies have enabled more targeted removal within specific applications.

Although used extensively for general particulate removal, many cartridges have also been developed using modified materials and advanced techniques for improved temperature resistance, chemical compatibility, precise filtration for exact classification as well as bespoke solutions for challenging applications.

Typically used where there is an unknown or broad range of particulate, often upfront of a carbon filter, RO or pleated filter. A superior 1st stage of sediment reduction for any application.

5/ Carbon Filters:

Design Application: Commercial water treatment and food manufacturing applications.

Inline 870 Cartridges

The WRAS approved SPECTRUM Inline 870 range of point-of-use (POU) filters have been specifically designed to deliver protection at the point-of-need for reverse osmosis, water coolers and vending equipment applications.

Typically used where chlorine or VOC’s requires reducing, upfront of an RO if mains water for example. Process water where Chlorine needs removing e.g. for brewing and cosmetic applications.

6/ Filter Housings:

Design Application: Industrial and Commercial water treatment and chemical applications.

Suiting flow rates from up to 0.4 to 13,300 lpm, the Neptune / Spectrum range of filter housings and systems offer product solutions with specific features and benefits required for even the  most demanding of applications. Examples of such include: numerous processes within industrial environments, incoming mains water, food and beverage manufacturing, sterile water production and bacterial control.

The filter housing are designed with polypropylene or stainless steel housings: Stainless for higher flow rates can offer multi round housings and for both indoor and outdoor applications – we have a specific sanitary range for food and beverage, pharma and cosmetics manufacturers. Polypropylene for indoor applications where they are protected from the weather and UV light.

7/ Resins and Filter Media:

Design Application: Industrial, Commercial water treatment and chemical applications.

Hard water can cause major issues in a range of equipment from boilers to laundry machines, or within pure water systems such as reverse osmosis.

Scale build up in pipework, heat exchange elements and other ancillary equipment such as nozzles and instrument sensors can be costly, not only in the premature replacement of key system elements but also on the running costs of the process equipment.

Water softening can be selected as either a complete solution or as part of a treatment package, to ensure the detrimental effects of hard water are limited.

Correct water treatment softening is dependent on the resin, for example a DI resin can be used after an RO system to remove any remaining TDS. Various grades of resin are available to support customer requirements.

8/ Bag Filtration:

Design Application: Industrial, commercial and chemical treatment applications.

Simple to use and easy to install, bag filters have been successfully integrated into a wide range of applications, providing a versatile and consistent filtration method, across many industries; from paints and lacquers to food and beverage processing.

With different styles, materials and sizes available, bag filtration is ideal for applications where large volumes of fluid need processing and particulate or dirt holding are high.

Similar to depth filters but not as efficient, better suited for bulk solids removal, pump protection and heavier particle removal.

9/ Pressure Vessels:

Design Application: Industrial, commercial and chemical treatment applications.

Water treatment, targeting specific dissolved contaminants by use of ion exchange, carbon absorption or adsorption, hexametaphosphates and many other medias. Hosting these medias comes in the form of Pressure Vessels and Empty Cartridge Shells.

There are extensive applications for deionisation (DI), including: battery top up, aquatics, electroplating, spot free rinse whilst nuclear grade resin provides ultra-pure water in power stations and semiconductors to name but a few. Specialist medias target selected ions such as heavy metals, nitrates and arsenic. Hosting these medias are a selection of convenient, disposable cartridges whilst larger Pressure Vessels offer longer life, higher capacity treatments and can be fully automated with the use of specialist valves to regenerate and clean media.

Depending on the required application the pressure vessels can be filled with either resin or granular carbon accordingly.

10/ Water Softeners:

Design Application:  Domestic, pre-RO or for boiler feed.

Water Softening & Conditioning

Water softening & conditioning units provide protection against scale formation on process equipment, preventing costly premature maintenance and replacement.

Benefits of Water Treatment

The increased levels of calcium and magnesium found in hard water will lead to premature scaling if left untreated. Problems such as early and increased replacement of heating elements, pipework and valves can often be costly and unpredictable but this can be reduced by installing a softener or conditioning system.

11/ UV Systems:

Design Application:  Small industrial, residential and local protection.

Whether the water source is from mains supply, borehole, well or river, microbiological contamination can be effectively treated using ultraviolet (UV) light.

For use where incoming water quality may be compromised or process water sterility is required, UV systems provide effective disinfection without the introduction of chemicals or biocides. Suitable for private residential protection, food and beverage, aquatics, and water storage loop systems, UV systems utilise the natural disinfection properties of ultraviolet light to protect against bacteria and other microorganisms.

Neptune / Spectrum Sabre systems are designed to deliver a high dosage of UV light, destroying the DNA of microorganisms in water, preventing growth and reproduction.
